April 2012: NZ Book Month Wrap Up Newsletter
Wow! A big thank you to everyone who took part in NZ Book Month 2012. We were
delighted with the month’s activities. Whether you held an event, were one of our
sponsors, an ambassador, a touring author, an event attendee or maybe, just maybe a
humble book reader, you’re the power behind our catch call: Books Change Lives.
 
March 2012: Kaikoura’s kids to learn from top New Zealand authors
Paper Plus Kaikoura is celebrating New Zealand Book Month by teaming with top Kiwi authors to challenge the district’s primary school children - all 500 of them - to collate their very own book, with proceeds from the sales going back into the schools.

February 2012: Find out where to get your NZ Book Month voucher
From Thursday March 1st – Saturday March 3rd the vouchers are being exclusively distributed
throughout the North Island by The NZ Herald and APN regional papers. During the first three days of MarchSouth Islanders can get vouchers from their friendly local bookstore. Read the newsletter for other voucher locations...
 
February 2012: An update on events
Thanks to Creative New Zealand this year we’ve been able to fund 60 volunteer book activists to make a wide variety of events happen in their communities. Many others are hosting their own, un-funded events too.

Four prizes have been won by New Zealand Book Month in the United States Pro Awards, one of the most prestigious international marketing and promotional awards. 

 

April 2011: How we celebrated NZ Book Month 2011
Read a round-up of how NZ Book Month 2011 went. Together, we created over 300 events to celebrate books and reading across the country. These events took place in libraries, cafes, schools and telephone boxes, from Russell to Invercargill, and with attendees from 2 to 82 years of age.

Activists - report on events

It's now time for NZ Book Month Activists to report on events so they can receive funding.
 
If you receive funding from NZ Book Month then you will need to fill in the reporting form before Tues 10 April. Once you have you'll see a confirmation notice, which tells you we've received it. Fill in the online form...
