As an Activist, you have the great advantage of posting your events on our events calendar. Once you do, everyone can have a look at what you’re doing – and perhaps join you! And we’ll do all we can to promote your event as widely as we can.
At a local and regional level, make sure to prepare your own promotional strategy. The Activist’s Handbook (opens to PDF) offers advice on how to do this. There are many ways to promote your event for little or no cost.
To join in the nationwide campaign, we ask that your event is promoted with the exact title: New Zealand Book Month 2012 – followed by your own event details. If you are doing print advertising (newspapers, flyers) the New Zealand Book Month logo should be included - download logos.
New Zealand Book Month events should involve your local community as widely as possible. In particular:
To post your event, simply go to New Zealand Book Month's Events calendar. Make sure you are logged in, and then click on the "My Events" tab (located just above the calendar) where you'll be able to add, edit and manage your New Zealand Book Month events.
